Got this message yesterday. “Dear Coach, would you do a camp just for old people, ages 60 plus?”

Dear SS,
This is a great idea and one that I might explore someday. I find that senior players need junior or younger players to emulate. This idea is not just racquetball. As a public educator for more than 30 years I always believed mixed ability classes worked best. Now an age camp is probably a mixed ability camp but it is a fixed age camp. If you have the right group of people it work work fine and I may try it.
How do I reach every player? Remember I taught heterogeneous groups of kids for 30 years. (mixed abilities) in public education and discovered the lowest could improve by watching the highest or working with them. This is the same in racquetball. Remember the drills are designed for you to work against yourself, not someone else.
I do not like to tear down a senior player’s game and rebuild it unless it is necessary and they are all in with it. Normally I modify when I can and make suggestions for improvement.
Meanwhile, I will work with what has worked best for me. Mixed ability camps of all ages!
