Sneaky snake!
This species is very frustrating to play. The public believes these players to be honest but they tend to be very subtle in their cheating. They are masters of the “gray area” of rules. Some famous moves include losing track of the score ( always in their favor), Mystery gets on four bounces, switching racquetballs during timeouts, taking 30 seconds between serves by asking how many timeouts they have left, then asking several questions of the ref, and then lacing their shoes while wiping up an imaginary wet spot!
Other moves include muttering disparaging remarks to you while smiling for the crowd, and demonstrably begging for replays, insinuating you have cheated them.
Oh and do not forget the “holding up the racquet when they see their opponent not checking the receiver move (especially in doubles). Another classic move is the hold up the swing move and pretend they had a chance to get to the shot, begging for the rally hinder move! The most frustrating thing about this player is the fans love them. Some great sneaky cheats even get Sportsmanship awards because they will give a call (when are ahead 10-2) and the crowd swoons at their honesty. Nobody can even see how they cheat except the players on the court with them. Beware of the Sneaky Snake!!
