Some months ago I got a call from a respected person in racquetball. He told me my job would be in jeopardy due to AI. Here is my experience with AI. I asked it to make an outline for a one day clinic. I also asked it to make an outline for a one week clinic.
AI did a great job of punching out a general outline without too many specifics. So the way I look at it AI would be great for someone to use who did not know much about teaching racquetball. It reminded me of my old teaching public school days and the department meetings which often would become heated arguments because each teacher was positive they knew what they were doing and the others did not.
Another thing about the AI search, some of it I swear was from my outlines! AI scours the internet to come up with this stuff.
Relative to the above:
So I am talking with a great young basketball coach about approaching our subject matter. He said it better than I could and nailed it.
“Nobody could copy what I do because I have no idea of what I will do until I get into the drills and games to see the strengths and weaknesses.”
I drive people crazy who do camps with me. I make a schedule and then have to make changes. I adapt to what the athletes need, not to a schedule I made. To date AI has not been able to duplicate that.
Go get’em tigers!!
