Micromanaging Racquetball matches seems to be the norm in junior Racquetball. When I attend National juniors I see all sorts of hand, arm, and weird signals from amateur and not so amateur coaches!
When you see a young player looking back for serves it can result in that player winning short term but losing long term. Why? They really do not learn racquetball-they learn to be told what do and not to think for themselves!
Racquetball players learn your craft! Sequence the serves. Use your best serve in 5 ways. 7 steps to a great offense.
Hit it at 100% pace.
Hit it at 60% pace.
Hit from left.
Hit from middle.
Hit from right.
Now take your second best serve and do the same.
Write them on slips of paper and put in a hat and pick 14 serves to use in the exact sequence you picked!
Oh and hire a coach who will make you independent not dependent!
