Dear Coach,
Recently I encountered the most obnoxious junior player who was extremely disrespectful. What was worse was his father seemed to encourage this behavior. I just wanted to grab and him and say listen here kid. You’re really good. Like REALLY good but you gotta understand it’s players like me who are gonna help you build future relationships. And you might not even know me but I know so and so where you’re from. And when it gets back to him about your behavior what are you gonna say? And if Racquetball is gonna grow, how do you expect people to show up and cheer for you if word gets around about your attitude? Racquetball is a small world.
The people you kick on the way up your mountain will kick you back on the way down! Never forget that. How about treating others as you would like to be treated? Oh and make sure your parents read this too! Obviously they are part of this problem too!
I urge parents to read this and ask, “Are they talking about me and my kids?”
In a few cases-Yes! Most cases-No-thank goodness!!
