Yes, you are improving and yes, you have great dreams. You will find you will have new friends. These are people who seem nice and will offer you Free advice, and coaching. So here are some rules for you to remember:
1. Were these people nice to you when you were coming up? Or are they your friends now that you have a couple of wins?
2. Do you need them? Or do they need you?
3. What are your goals? If it is to get to the top, can those people around you get you there?
4. What have you won? Are you a quarter-finalist or a National Champion? Focus on improving with the best, and you won’t have to worry about the rest.
5. What have they (prospective coaches) won? I mean not them personally as a player, but as a coach. How many world and national champions have they coached?
6. Do their players improve? Anyone hiring a good coach will improve. Anyone hiring a coach may not. Check out the coaches who actually have a track record of their athletes improving.
If you want to go to the top, the attitude of delayed gratification may take you a lot further in racquetball nation.
