Jumping in on a social media argument can be dangerous!
I suggest not posting anything without investigating. Things may not be as black and white as they seem.
Here are the facts on a few of these entities.
USA Racquetball-I have to say they try. They are not out to get you or me; but their policies might! If you investigate further you might find out their reasoning.
LPRT-Organizes tournaments for the best female pros on the planet. During the Pandemic, due to their contacts, they have been able to have competitive tournaments.
IRT-organizes tournaments–for the best male pros in the world.
WOR-Untapped resource that is beginning to flex its muscles. Lots of outdoor specialists here in the SouthWest and West and back East in temperate climates!
NMRA-Think of a gated senior citizen compound only in a racquetball tournament setting! Lots of round robin play and days off to enjoy the local sites for my peers!
IRF-The international arm of racquetball. This entity is responsible for racquetball being a Pan-Am sport. This organization is also attempting to get our sport in the Olympics.
Tournament directors–again–most are trying to make a buck doing something they love. Cut them some slack please as they have a rough job pleasing so many players.
These are only a few entities-Add to these local and state folks and organizations and it gets complicated!
All of these entities are bound to get in each other’s way. Players build allegiances to these organizations, companies, or players. You may mean well, but I am often shocked at how some harmless comment gets “worked around”.
