Ok-Ok-it is a presidential election year and this is as close to political as I will ever get in this forum!
Go out and vote and no matter what the outcome, and remember you can vote. In some other countries that is not an option. One other thing you should remember. When you post anything political, here or anywhere, judging from results of almost any national election, you will have roughly half of the United States not agreeing with you and half of the USA disagreeing with you. Let’s put it another way. Regarding your social media political posts…half of the readers will think you are an idiot and the other half will think you are so intelligent!
I have read a few articles about this and people will put the truth in a box to fit their own beliefs. I recommend a book titled, Loser Think, by Scott Adams, which covers this topic among others. Our country was founded on checks and balances and each side has been fiercely fighting to “win” over the other side ever since George Washington was President and before!
Television commentators who deliver the news as you want to see it have fanned the flames of discourse to sell whatever the commercial is selling. They get paid to ridicule the other side. Actors, media, tv shows, movies all can subtly or not so subtly sell a point of view also.
This is not a bad thing. Want all media to agree with you? Try another country. Thank God ours is not like that. So do not be surprised when someone agrees with you or disagrees with the political post. Go vote and God Bless America!!
