The shootout is a popular form of racquetball play. Typically someone gets a group of players together and they beat each other up for a headband or wristband. I have tried to change this culture by offering shootouts with coaching and spice it up with some cool prizes.

3. Plenty of play with drop down divisions and choice of singles or doubles after the singles flight play is completed.
4. Juniors racquetball–non competitive competitive play!! Let the little nippers compete but with help for their game and lots of TLC !!
5. Adult beginners to intermediate play and fun! Keep them playing-shorten games to 7 or 5 if you have to so they stay playing with little rest!
6. Big dogs–you have to be able to coach the highest level players too. They will come back if they are improving.
7. Do not over-coach–be very careful of intruding on a hotly contested game. The trick is to offer subtle help and realize when people just want to play and do not want help.
Dish out those prizes like Santa Claus on Christmas Day!! Then throw in your wristbands and headbands on top of it.
